But earlier this year, a jury convicted the 67-year-old of four charges of sexual assault after hearing from his now-adult victim who had to testify about the abuse in court.

Yesterday (April 14) at Northampton Crown Court, Jones was sentenced to 30 months in prison for the historic offences.

His Honour Judge David Herbert described Jones offending as "exploitative" and in sentencing: "The effect on [your victim] has been pronounced and has caused her significant issues as an adult.

"I do accept that you do feel remorse for what you did."
