Police are hunting a gang who threatened a man with a knife before stealing cash and a bank card in a late-night robbery in Northampton.

Officers released a CCTV image of three of the gang at an ATM in Kettering Road where the stolen card was used moments after an attack involving a group of six or seven young men on the Racecourse.

"A group of six or seven teenage or young men were sitting on the bench, two approached him and one asked for money. He handed over a small amount to one of them who asked for more.

"When he said he had no more, he was surrounded, threatened and saw one of them had a knife, and handed over his bank card. The bank card was used at the ATM at Costcutter on Kettering Road.

"We would ask the people in the image or anyone who recognises them to call us on 101 using incident number 20000046475."
