These are the faces of nine Northamptonshire criminals put behind bars whose stories we reported during June 2023.
They included a killer drink-driver, a man who subjected his victim to a horrific homophobic attack after setting up a meeting online, a drug dealer caught red-handed during a police raid in Northampton and a thug who attempted to suffocate a police officer responding to reports of a man with a gun in Wellingborough town centre….
9. Phillip Bradford
Serial criminal Bradford, 38, was jailed for a total of eight months after pleading guilty to burglary, theft and receiving stolen goods after raiding stores in Kettering during a two-week period in June 2023. Among his haul was electric toothbrushes worth more than £400 from Boots.
Sentencing, Judge Rebecca Crane revealed in court that Bradford now has 144 offences on his record — including 86 shoplifting incidents — and told him: “It’s clear an addiction to drugs is behind your offending.” Photo: Northamptonshire Police
