Lazaj (top left), of Raeburn Road, Northampton, led a gang supplying wholesale quantities of cannabis from Northampton to Milton Keynes and Essex. 7. Steven Sandall
Sandall turned on oven gas taps then started a fire in his ex-partner’s Wellingborough home after she refused to get back together with him. The 37-year-old strangled the woman until she felt she might die, ripped kitchen cupboards from walls and slashed a sofa, before leaving knives upright after he had stabbed them into her possessions. He pleaded guilty to arson, arson with recklessness as to whether life would be endangered, burglary, assault and strangulation and was jailed for six years and ordered to serve an 11-year extended sentence. 8. Colin Conner Mark Jeffers & Francis Michael Moynagh
Jeffers, 37, and 23-year-old Moynagh befriended a man in his 40s only to stab him outside a Rushden Wetherspoons pub in what detectives called a “brutal and senseless” attack in January 2024. Moynagh, formerly of Titchmarsh but of no fixed address, also admitted assaulting the pub manager and was sentenced to six years, 11 months while Jeffers, of Stamford Road, Kettering, was sentenced to four years, three months.
