These are the faces of just a few of the criminals who were put behind bars during November 2023 for committing crimes in Northamptonshire…
5. Christopher Mardles
A Pytchley Hunt rider whose horse trampled a protester on land near Sibbertoft in September 2020 was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Northampton Crown Court. According to police, 27-year-old Mardles, rode at a group of protesters and collided with a man in his 60s. The victim had to be airlifted to hospital with broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a split shoulder blade and nerve damage. Photo: Northamptonshire Police
6. Robert William Cridland
The 25-year-old was sentenced to two years, eight months after threatening terrified staff in a Subway sandwich shop with a kitchen knife during a robbery in Wellingborough. Cridland stole the till with just over £600 in cash during the raid in August. Photo: Northamptonshire Police
7. Peter O’Halloran
Detectives labelled O’Halloran a “professional burglar” after he was jailed for a total of 12 years, six months for a series of high-value break-ins. A victim offered a £10,000 reward on BBC’s Crimewatch after having heirloom jewellery and designer watches from a house near Thrapston in 2019. The 49-year-old from Stowmarket, Suffolk, was caught after the burglary was linked to crimes in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. 8. Robert Elliot Edward Kennedy
Paedophile Kennedy was sentenced to a total of eight years after confessing to three counts of indecent assault and one of gross indecency dating back to the 1990s at Northampton Crown Court. According to police, the 44-year-old was serving a sentence for similar offences in February 2022 when, during a conversation with a prison officer, he confessed to further historic offences.
