Elderly Northampton paedophile jailed for 10 years for historic sex offences

An elderly Northampton man has been locked up for over 10 years for historic sex offences.

Raymond Quinn, of Trent Close, Kings Heath, was convicted last week after a jury found him guilty of the offences that took place in the 1970s.

The 80-year-old man denied all charges. His now-adult victim gave evidence of her experience during the two-week long trial.

But now, close to 40 years after the offences, Quinn has been jailed for 10 years and six months.

In sentencing, Recorder Mr Jacob Hallam said: "It's plain from what she had to say about these offences that they blighted her teenage years and cast a long shadow over her adult life.
