Sadly, she died the next day at University Hospital Coventry. She was 16.

At Northampton Magistrate's Court yesterday (September 17), Lucy Barnes, of The Wharf in Bugbrooke, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving.

The 19-year-old - who was 18 at the time - was the driver of the Corsa on the day of the crash, which happened at the Bugbrooke junction between Upper Stowe and Litchborough.

Barnes was released on unconditional bail and will appear at Northampton Crown Court on October 9 for sentencing.
