Driver found ASLEEP at wheel of car stopped in middle of Northamptonshire ring road
Man charged with drink-driving after shocked police find motorist nodded off
Stunned police found a driver ASLEEP at the wheel after his car stopped in the middle of a Northamptonshire rign road.
Officers from the county's local Response Team found the vehicle after calls from the public over a blue Fiat Punto which had come to a halt in Stefan Way, Daventry, at around 11pm last Thursday night.
They were shocked to discover the driver had nodded off on his way home from work.
A 40-year-old man from Daventry has been charged with drink-driving in connection with the incident.
