Drink driver charged after hitting parked car in busy Northampton street

A drink driver has been charged by police after hitting a parked car in Northampton.

Laszlo Krisan, of Tyes Court, has been charged with driving a car above the prescribed limit of alcohol.

The 29-year-old was driving a blue VW Passat in Abington Avenue yesterday evening (June 14) when it crashed into the back of a parked black BMW 7 series.

The incident happened at around 7.20pm in the part of Abington Avenue between Stimpson Avenue and the roundabout at Abington Grove.

Both police officers and firefighters were called to the scene.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police confirmed there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
