Doorbell CCTV captures moment brazen masked thief steals £500 bike from Northampton family home

A masked thief has been caught on camera breaking into a family garden and stealing a mountain bike.

The incident happened at around 6.50am on Tuesday (September 22) in Teasle Close, Upton.

Wearing a blue hooded coat, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and a surgical mask, the man broke through three gates to gain access to the garden, causing around £200 worth of damage, according to the family.

After gaining access, the intruder stole a white B-Twin mountain bike worth £500.

The victim said: “We feel we’ve had our privacy invaded. The kids are scared and my wife is worried they will come back.

“I just want to see culprits like this brought to justice.

“It’s happening way too much in the town.”

Northamptonshire Police have confirmed the incident details. No arrests have been made yet.
