A cyclist has been left injured after he was “rammed” by an electric bike rider on a bridle path in Northampton.

The incident happened on the bridle path between Riverside and Brackmills on Friday August 30 at around 1.05pm.

Police say a man riding a Voodoo Horde bicycle was “rammed deliberately by another man on a red electric bike”. The man’s bike was also damage “beyond repair”.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: “As a result of the assault, the victim suffered grazes and cuts to his legs and his bicycle was damaged beyond repair."

Officers are now appealing to witnesses. They say the suspect is described as a white man, aged 30-40, of a stocky build, with a beard. He was wearing a motorcycle type helmet.
