Community project facing £1,500 bill after vandals wreck Northampton allotments

Vandals caused £1,500 worth of damage after breaking into some allotments in Billing Lane, Northampton, over the weekend.

Officers launched an investigation into criminal damage and revealed a raised bed which, part of a community project organised by Northamptonshire Partnership Homes had been wrecked sometime between 6pm on Saturday night and 9am on Monday (September 14).

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "We are asking anyone in the Billing Lane area at the time to check CCTV and dashcam footage and get in touch with any information that could help their investigation by calling us on 101 using reference number 20000482630 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
