Collision sparks road-rage row between Nissan and Astra drivers at busy Northamptonshire junction

Police are investigating a road-rage row following a bump between two cars at a busy Northamptonshire junction last Sunday.

Officers say two drivers were involved in "an altercation" following the collision between a white Nissan Qashqai and a red Vauxhall Astra at the Abthorpe Roundabout on the A43 just outside Towcester between 2.45pm and 3.15pm.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed either the collision or the subsequent altercation, or who may have captured any part of the incident on a dashcam.

"The Qashqai driver was a black man, 5ft 11in tall and of a stocky build. The Astra driver was a white man, 5ft 10in and of a stocky build.

"Anyone with information can call 101 using reference number 21000052297 or, alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A 29-year-old man from Towcester arrested in connection with the incident has been released on Police bail pending further enquiries.
