'Cleopatra' necklaces taken during raid on Northampton house

Burglars broke in through the back window of a house in Kingsthorpe before stealing jewellery including two "Cleopatra" necklaces.

Northamptonshire Police is appealing for witnesses after burglars stole jewellery from the home in Currie Road.

Sometime between 7pm on Friday, October 28 and 3.30am the following morning, burglars broke in through a window at the back of the house and stole various items of jewellery, including the Cleopatra necklaces and a gold elephant bracelet.

A police spokeswoman said a distinctive black snake-skin jewellery box, with a black velvet lining, was also taken.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the stolen property, are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
