Police have released an image of a woman who they believe may have information about a burglary in George Street, Wellingborough.

Between 11am and 2pm on Wednesday, April 7, an unknown offender entered the house and stole a purse, which contained cash and bank cards belonging to the elderly resident.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "The bank card was later used at Gold Street News to purchase items, and officers believe the woman in the image may have information about the burglary, which could assist with their investigation."

Officers are appealing for the woman or anyone who may recognise her, to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000192372 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
