CCTV image released after woman punched in the face during 'hate-related' assault on board Stagecoach bus in Northampton

A CCTV image has been released by police following a “hate-related” assault in which a man punched a woman on board a Stagecoach bus in Northampton.
The incident happened between 1pm and 1.15pm on Christmas Eve 2025 and started at the bus stop opposite the Asda store in Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe.
A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: “The man asked the woman if she wanted a fight, but when she declined, he continued to try to intimidate her. He then followed her onto the 4A Stagecoach bus service, punched her in the face before getting off before the bus departed.

Police also added that several people spoke to the woman and the offender at the time of the incident, and officers are urging anyone, who have not yet come forward, to get in touch.
