A CCTV image has been released after stock was stolen from a newly refurbished Northampton pub, during a break-in.

The incident happened between 1.15am and 1.20am on Thursday January 15, at The Phipps in Wellingborough Road.

Police say the pub was broken into and stock was stolen.

The pub, formerly known as Sir Pickering Phipps, only recently re-opened in December 2025, following a major £350,000 makeover. The owners say the refurbished space includes an expanded drinks range and updated interior aimed at creating a livelier atmosphere.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could assist them and are appealing for him or anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number: 26000027294.
