CCTV image released after man offers to clean guttering in Northamptonshire town then steals cash from home
A CCTV image has been released by police after a man offered to clean guttering in a Northamptonshire town, then stole cash from a home.
The incident happened about midday on Friday October 31, in Ellesmere Crescent in Brackley.
Police say a man offered to clean the guttering at an address, but when he entered the property to collect payment, he distracted the resident and stole cash.
On Monday November 3, the same man returned to the address, however he was confronted by a member of the public, according to police.
Officers are now keen to hear from anyone else who may have been approached by the same man. They also believe the man in the image may have information which could assist them and are appealing for him or anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number: 25000638982.
