A busy Co-op shop in Northampton has temporarily closed following an incident this morning – here’s what happened.

The Co-op store in Semilong Road has temporarily closed for the day following an incident on Wednesday morning.

The Co-op in Semilong has temporarily closed following an incident at 8.25am today (Wednesday) in which money was stolen from the till by a man.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: “At about 8.25am today (Wednesday) money was stolen from the till by a man.

“Enquiries are ongoing to locate him and anyone with information should call us on 101 quoting incident number 25000760340.”
