Burglars have stolen more than £3,000 worth of hairdryers, hair straighteners and tongs from a Northampton hairdressers.

The incident took place between 12.15am and 1am on Friday (October 2) when the offender/s broke into The Hair Pavillion on Butts Road, Wootton.

Items stolen included were hairdryers, hair straighteners, tongs, hot brushes and clippers, and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have been offered such electrical items for sale in unusual circumstances.

The offender/s are believed to have left on foot towards the community centre in Rowtree Road before heading towards Frosty Hollow, and officers are appealing for anyone with CCTV/Ring doorbells to contact them.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Butts Road, between the stated times.
