Police are hunting a teenage gang who beat a 15-year-old boy with a metal pole in a shocking attack in Northampton.

The victim was left with a head injury following the assault involving up to six boys in Timken Way South, Duston, between 7.20pm and 7.30pm on August 30.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "We believe all the boys involved are aged between 15 and 17 years old.

"Our officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have mobile phone, CCTV or dashcam footage, either of the incident or of the group of boys in the area.

"Anyone with information can call us on 101 using reference number 20000453869, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
