BBC Crimewatch episode proves 'useful' as number of calls received following spate of thefts targeting elderly in Northampton
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
On September 30, an episode aired where Northamptonshire Police appealed for information on Operation Ultrasonic, which is an investigation into a series of thefts in Northampton in which the suspects are a group of women who primarily target the elderly.

Hide AdPolice say there have been seven incidents in total and the oldest victim in this series was 96-years-old.
PC Charis Halford appeared on the BBC One programme last Monday morning where, alongside presenter Rav Wilding, she talked the audience through the crime series and appealed for information.
Now, Northamptonshire Police has confirmed – as a result of the episode – Crimewatch received a number of calls and emails which PC Halford and the team are now working through.
