Arson attacks that took place more than 20 days apart on Northampton street could be linked, say police

Officers investigating two arson attacks on a street in Northampton, where fires were started by front doors, believe the two may be linked.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the two arson incidents in Silverdale Road, Abington, Northampton.

One of the incidents happened in the early hours of Saturday, October 1 and the other on Saturday, 22 October at about the same time.

In both incidents, a fire was started close to the front doors, causing damage to the external cupboards and door frames.

Members of the public and local residents are being urged to report anything suspicious at the earliest opportunity by calling 101 or 999 to report a crime in progress.
