Armed police arrest man carrying gun in Northamptonshire
Armed police were deployed to an area of Kettering today after reports that a man was carrying a firearm.
The unit attended the Stamford Road area of the town this afternoon and arrested a 23-year-old man for possession of a firearm or imitation firearm.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said it was not yet clear whether the man was brandishing the gun or whether he will be further detained.
