A passerby tried to intervene and police now want to speak to him

An argument between a man and a women in a Northamptonshire village escalated and left the woman with bruising on her hand.

The incident happened on Thursday, September 14, between midday and 2pm, outside a village shop in High Street, Potterspury, Towcester.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said in a statement today (October 23): “A verbal argument between a man and a woman escalated, with the man crushing the woman’s hand, causing bruising.

“During this altercation a, a man approached the couple and challenged the suspect about his behaviour towards the woman. He then left without leaving his details.”

Police are appealing for this man, or anyone who might know who he is, to come forward by calling us on 101, quoting incident number: 23000598718.
