Appeal to trace woman pulled from car in Kettering

Efforts to trace the woman and identify the car and driver have so far been unsuccessful so officers are now hoping the public can help

Officers investigating an incident in Kettering in which a woman passenger was pulled from a car by its male driver are appealing for the victim and anyone with information to make contact.

At around 8.13am on Sunday, March 28, a silver or grey car believed to be an Audi estate was seen to brake heavily and stop in Eskdaill Street, at the junction with Lindsey Street.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "The male driver got out and dragged a woman from the passenger seat before putting her on the floor, getting back in the car and driving off down Lindsey Street.

"The woman then got up and walked off.

"She is described as having dark hair, and was wearing a black leather coat, black trousers and was carrying a Sainsbury’s bag.

"Efforts to trace the woman and identify the car and driver have so far been unsuccessful, so officers are now hoping the public can help."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 21000171679.
