Thousands of cases were heard at Northamptonshire's three criminal courts last year, with most dealt with by magistrates.
But cases involving a serious offence are heard by a crown court judge.
Here's 23 north Northamptonshire criminals who were brought to justice at a crown court in 2020.

21. MATTHEW MCGRADY
The disgraceful Kettering carer stole thousands from vulnerable men who trusted him. He was spared from prison and later ordered to pay back just £1.

22. MOHAMMED UDDIN
Reckless Wellingborough curry house Akash left a teenager hospitalised after giving her a dish with a potentially fatal dose of nuts when she had an allergy. Owner Uddin was given a suspended sentence.

23. PETER JOHNSON
Johnson and fellow inmate Vincent Israel absconded from an open prison but were caught after bragging about it in a Kettering pub. They were given an extra four months in prison each.
