A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing at Northampton Magistrates’ court charged with burglary and fraud.

Grant Picketts, 41, of Alfred Street, was arrested yesterday (October 19) in connection with offences in Billing Road and Upper Thrift Street, Northampton that took place between September 24 and October 7 this year.

Picketts appeared before magistrates today (October 20) charged with fraud by false representation and two counts of burglary dwelling. He allegedly stole assorted bottles of alcohol, an antique firearm, army medals, five watches, electrical equipment, power tools, shoes, pool equipment, cash, two knives and assorted foodstuffs.

Picketts was remanded in custody and will appear at Northampton Crown Court on a date to be arranged.
