A Kettering paedophile has reoffended by trying to send sexual messages to a person he thought was a teenage girl.

Mark Antony Sinclair was already the subject of a sexual harm prevention order imposed by Wood Green Crown Court in 2022. He was given that order after admitting sending sick messages to a police decoy on the Kik app.

But on May 16 last year Sinclair of Moorhouse Way, Kettering, and formerly of Desborough, was again caught trying to contact a decoy 12-year-old girl. At the same time he was in breach of his SHPO by using Snapchat, which he was banned from doing.

The 36-year-old was back before Northampton Crown Court last month to be sentenced for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and breaching his SHPO, as well as four other charges.

He also admitted making a category C image in October 2022, as well as one category A and four category C images in 2024.

His Honour Judge David Herbert KC sentenced him to 44 months in prison.
