Child airlifted to hospital could have life changing injuries after Northampton early morning crash

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by officers following a serious crash in Lings Way, near to the junction with Goldings Road.

At about 8.40am today (Friday, September 25), a white Renault Master van was in collision with a 10-year-old boy, who had ran out into the road and collided with the front passenger side of the vehicle.

As a result of the collision, the boy was airlifted to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious, potentially life changing, facial injuries, a spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
