The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation is thrilled to share the incredible success of their London to Paris Bike Ride 2024, which saw participants raising an astounding £17,149. This remarkable achievement will significantly support the Foundation’s multifaceted charitable initiatives.

Held from May 9th to May 12th, the London to Paris Cycle 2024 brought together 7 cycling enthusiasts and charity supporters, including the founder of the charity Teresa McCarthy-Dixon, who all undertook the challenging 175-mile journey from central London to the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Despite the ride’s difficulty, participants demonstrated exceptional dedication and community spirit, and were able to fundraise an enormous £17,149 for their community.

The journey began in central London at the famous London Eye, leading participants through a diverse range of landscapes. Passing through scenic countryside and villages, the cyclists then made their way past notable landmarks such as Biggin Hill, East Grinstead, and Lewes. Upon reaching the Sussex coast, the route continued with a ferry ride from Newhaven to Dieppe, marking the transition into France. Once across the channel, the group travelled via the Avenue Verte, before reaching Beauvais for their second night's stay. The final leg of the journey took participants into the heart of Paris along the banks of the Seine. Passing iconic landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, cyclists reached the Eiffel Tower before heading to their hotel for a well-deserved rest!
