Following a CQC inspection, brighterkind’s Brampton View care home, was also rated as good against all of the criteria of being safe, caring, responsive and well-led.

In their report following a visit in February, inspectors said that the 88-person home provided care with kindness and compassion, by staff who treated people with respect and dignity and who showed a good understanding of how people liked to have their care needs met.

The home’s residents and relatives comments included: “We have a varied programme of activities and events and the staff look for imaginative ways to engage our interest and motivate us - I am very pleased with the way I am being cared for.”

Another resident said: “I looked at several places before I decided to move here and I would have a job to beat it.”

“We have got to know the staff; they always say hello and they treat us as if we are part of the family.”

Inspectors looked at all aspects of life at the newly refurbished home in Brampton Lane, including mealtimes, staff training, and all aspects of care for the residents some who have physical disability, degenerative conditions and dementia.

Andrea Goodall, Home Manager for brighterkind Brampton View, said: “I am immensely pleased with the outcome of our inspection, this proves the hard work of all the team has paid off.”
