Police are appealing for witnesses after a large quantity of tools were stolen from Hillcrest in Glebe Lane, Lower Harlestone, Northampton.

The burglary happened overnight between Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5, when offenders broke into the rear yard of the property, removing gates in order to do so.

They then broke the locks of two outhouses and stole items such as chain saws, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers. Most of these were STIHL brand hand tools.

Police say it is likely a large vehicle was used to transport the stolen property away and the force is appealing for anybody who saw suspicious activity in the area during April 4 and 5 to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
