CCTV image released on two men police want to talk to after assault in Northampton

Police investigating an attack on a member of staff at a garage in Northampton have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said they were appealing for witnesses following an assault which happened at about 3.45am on Monday, April 11.

“Two men had been shoplifting alcohol at Westbridge Garage on St James Road in Northampton. A member of staff followed them outside and challenged them, at which point one of them punched him in the face, causing bleeding.

“The men ran off with the stolen drink,” a spokesman said.

“The main offender is described as white, 5ft 9in, in his twenties to early thirties with a muscular build with short, dark hair and a fair complexion. He was wearing a blue jumper, dark jeans and brown shoes, “ he added.
