Traffic has slowed to a crawl on the M1 near Northampton after a car broke down on an exit ramp.
Police have stopped all traffic on the M1 Northbound at junction 17 between Watford and Crick after a broken-down car blocked the exit ramp.
Severe delays of up to 45 minutes are developing with an average speed of five mph.
