Brackley Tesco staff take up swimming challenge

Members of staff from Tesco in Brackley are planning a marathon swim for charity.

Nine members of staff are doing the swim22 challenge for diabetes UK.

They plan to swim the equivalent of the English channel over a 12-week period.

They are trying to hit a target £1000 for their efforts.

The swimmers are Dougie Herriott, Gill Abdulla, Alison Dibb, Andy Tuckey, Heather Jones, Michelle Luckett, Tina Owen, Kevin Bush and Karen Priddy Smith.

All have different levels of swimming experience and their aim is to complete 1416 lengths of the Brackley Swimming Pool.

The team has just gone over 1000 lengths.

Brackley Swimming Pool has allowed the team use the pool for free over a 12-week period.
