Anew energy storage system in the UK, designed to help homeowners make better use of solar power, manage energy-hungry appliances and become more energy independent, has been launched.

Hinen has officially launched its new A15 Residential Energy Storage System in the UK, offering homeowners a flexible way to store more of their own energy and reduce their reliance on the grid.

The launch comes as more households look for ways to make the most of solar panels, charge electric vehicles and manage rising energy demands.

The A15 was unveiled during a live online event attended by Hinen’s technical team, UK distributors and installers, industry representatives and homeowners.

The event featured product demonstrations, live installation discussions and insights from Hinen’s experience in Australia, as well as views from its UK market partners.

A smarter way to store energy at home

The A15 combines Hinen’s A-series hybrid inverters with its B15 high-voltage battery to create a complete home energy storage system.

Each B15 battery provides 14.4kWh of capacity, with 13.68kWh available for use. And for households with bigger energy needs, up to six batteries can be connected together, allowing storage to be expanded to 86.4kWh.

Hinen says the system has also been designed with installers in mind.

There is no need for an external Battery Management System (BMS), helping to reduce wiring and simplify installation. The system is also just 180mm deep, with a compact 0.13m² footprint, making it easier to install in garages, utility rooms and other spaces where room is limited.

The battery is designed for long-term use, with more than 8,000 cycles and a 12-year warranty.

Homeowners can monitor their energy use in real time through the Hinen App, while over-the-air firmware updates mean the system can be updated remotely.

The A15 can be used alongside solar panels, EV chargers and heat pumps, as well as providing backup power for the home. Its expandable design also means homeowners can increase their storage capacity as their energy needs change.

Hinen puts UK installers in the spotlight

A major focus of the launch was Hinen’s plans to strengthen its network of UK installers and distribution partners.

Isaac, Technical Manager at Hinen Australia, shared lessons from the company’s experience in the Australian market.

UK distributors Taj, Founder and CEO of Power Warehouse; Colin, Head of Sales at BHC Distributors Ltd; and Adam, Group CEO & Co-Founder of HDM Solar, discussed opportunities in the UK and the importance of strong relationships between manufacturers and distributors.

Installer Matthew, Founder of Lumos Energy Ltd, shared his practical experience of installation and what homeowners want from energy storage, while Jason, CEO of the Energy Storage Association (UK), offered a wider view of the UK market.

Greg, Managing Director of Man with a Hammer Ltd, also shared his experience from a customer perspective.

Together, the speakers highlighted the importance of collaboration across the industry, with manufacturers, distributors, installers, industry organisations and homeowners all playing a role in making energy storage more accessible.

Greg said: "The UK is an important market for Hinen. The A15 launch marks more than a new product - it strengthens our commitment to local partnerships and the support network needed to help installers and homeowners adopt energy storage with confidence."

Special offer for first 300 installers

To support the UK launch, Hinen is offering a First 300 Installer Offer for the first 300 A15 units.

The initiative is aimed at installers and installation partners, with further details available through Hinen’s UK distribution and installer network.
