5. Braunston
Braunston is another canalside village located at the junction of the Grand Union and Oxford Canals on the border of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. It thrived for over 150 years on the canal trade, transporting goods to London and it boasts the busiest stretch of canal in England.

Castle Ashby is a civil parish, an estate village and the ancestral home of seventh Marquess of Northampton. Historically, the village was established to meet the needs of Castle Ashby house and its breathtaking gardens can be explored all year round.
