With summer on the horizon and the weather slowly but surely brightening up, we can finally start planning how we can enjoy the great outdoor activities that Northampton has to offer.
Whether you are in need of inspiration for family-friendly fun, great ways to exercise and enjoy the outdoors or you simply want to try something new, here are some great local options.
5. Make friends with some farm animals
If it is animals you are interested in, Rookery Open Farm provides a great hands-on experience for all the family. The children can meet the animals, and play indoors and outdoors in the activity areas – perfect for a warm day. You may even get the chance to meet ‘Daisy the milkable cow’.
There is no need to pre-book. You can simply turn up and pay on arrival. More information about pricing is available online. Photo: Rookery Open Farm

If you don't want to break the bank this summer, why not take a family walk or relaxing bike ride down Brampton Valley Way?
