Novelist and writer Anthony joins line up for literary event

One of the most prolific and successful writers in the UK, Anthony Horowitz has been announced to appear the 13th Althorp Literary Festival.

He has been juggling writing books, TV series, films, plays and journalism.

Anthony has written more than 40 books including the teen spy series Alex Rider, which has sold 19 million copies worldwide, and the Power of Five series.

He was commissioned by the Arthur Conan Doyle estate to write two new Sherlock Holmes novels - The House of Silk, and Moriarty - and by the Ian Fleming estate to write the James Bond novel Trigger Mortis.

Anthony is also responsible for creating and writing some of the UK’s most beloved and successful television series, including Midsomer Murders, and Foyle’s War. DCS Foyle has been voted the nation’s favourite detective.
