Artur Dominiczak, 46, had just come off the night shift when he was told that he had bagged a luxury holiday to Las Vegas costing £11,000.

The delivery courier, who paid just 55p for his ticket, had to answer a competition question to enter and was then randomly selected from all the correct entries.

The prize includes seven nights in a 5-star hotel for two people, return flights and £2,000 in spending money.

“Oh wow,” he told Christian Williams from BOTB. “That’s amazing.

“I played for the holiday because I’ve always wanted to go to Las Vegas. I’ve never been to America before - I can’t wait.

Artur also has two children, Oliwia, 17, and Laura, 11.

“We can’t take the kids with us but we’ll definitely get them a little something while we’re there. I’ll be taking my fiance, Kate. I think this was the best Christmas present ever."

BOTB hands over the keys to two cars each week as well as a lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to the Arctic and £15,000 in cash.

The company, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £37m worth of cars so far.

BOTB first opened at Heathrow Airport in 1999 and clocked up its 500th winner in 2019.

The company uses former professional footballers to judge the competition independently each week, alongside current and former referees.

Christian, who surprises the BOTB winners each week, said: “Well Christmas has certainly come early for Artur and Kate - and what an amazing holiday to look forward to in 2021.

“I’m super happy for the couple and hope they have a wonderful time in Vegas.”
