Housing developer, Bellway, is building 70 new two, three and four bedroom homes on the former British Timken site, following approval from Northampton Borough Council in November last year.

Andrew Odams, sales manager at Bellway’s Northern Home Counties division, said: “We are looking forward to releasing the first homes for sale at Duston Gardens this summer.

“We’ve already seen a great deal of interest in this site, thanks to its great location close to Northampton town centre and easy access to transport links.

“It’s just three miles from both the M1 and A43, while Northampton railway station has direct trains to London Euston and Birmingham.

People also feel reassured by the fact that we’ve retained our five-star builder status with the HBF (Home Builders Federation) again this year, which means more than nine out of ten customers would recommend us to a friend.”

The new houses, which include seven affordable homes through shared ownership or renting, is part of a wider development.

Bellway is building a total of 138 new homes on the site of the former roller ball bearing factory.

Andrew added: “We’re building a range of homes at Duston Gardens to suit people in a variety of circumstances, whether they’re first-time buyers or moving up the property ladder, and we also have a choice of schemes such as Help to Buy and Part Exchange to help make moving easier.
