The size of the new plot of land comprises of 3.62 hectares, one hectare is about two-and-a-half times the size of an average football pitch.

Houses across the site will vary in size, from large, detatched properties with larger plots through to smaller terraced houses.

Affordable housing will be provided within the development 'in a series of clusters', which will include affordable rented, shared ownership and reduced cost market housing.

The Buckton Fields site, which falls into Daventry District but neighbours Northampton, aims to build about 1,000 homes and a mix of other land uses. So-far there are plans in the pipeline for about 750. Read more here.
