Whittlebury Park has announced it is re-opening with a set of measures in place for staff and guests, as part of its 'Stay Safe' initiative.

The new guidance includes contactless payment where possible, pre-arrival check in, staggered arrivals and express check out facilities.

A fever detection system has now been installed at the main entrance points for team members and guests, with frequent sanitising of all public areas and clear physical distancing measures in place throughout the hotel.

It comes as hotels in England were given the green-light by Boris Johnson to reopen on July 4.

Charles Sargeant, managing director at the 254-bedroom Whittlebury Park, said: “Our fantastic team and I have been working hard over these past few months to ensure that Whittlebury Park is in the best possible position to re-open safely."

The hotel has also been awarded by the travel industry for its efforts to put guests' minds at ease.

He added: "With the backing of events industry association Meeting Industry Association and Visit Britain’s recently launched industry standard, and guided by our own comprehensive Stay Safe initiative, we are looking forward to welcoming guests once more to our beautiful hotel.”

The hotel’s Atrium Bistro is now serving food and drink for guests and non-residents either inside in the bar area or outside on the terrace, which can all be ordered and paid by a dedicated web service and delivered to the table.

And, the hotel’s executive chef has developed a range of takeaway and Bento box-style eating, allowing guests to take their food outside.

The Hair Studio is now open for pre-booked appointments where 'the highest standards of hygiene' will be maintained throughout the salon, and stylists are wearing PPE.

Appointments will be longer to allow for thorough cleaning between each client and there will be a limited number of clients permitted in the salon at any one time, to allow for physical distancing.

After each bedroom clean, a room seal will now be placed on bedroom doors to give guests peace of mind that nobody else has accessed the area.
