Take a look round the pop-up foodie festival in Northampton for the whole Bank Holiday weekend

For both Saturday and Sunday (May 1 and 2), there are 18 stalls including takeaway food trucks, bars, homemade chutney stalls and more

A pop-up food and drink festival will be open in Northampton for the whole Bank Holiday Weekend.

Pop-up Partners has organised an outdoor chalet market with Northamptonshire-based businesses selling their food and drink at the University of Northampton’s Waterside Campus.

The event began yesterday (April 30) and will continue all weekend including Bank Holiday Monday (May 3).

On the Senate Lawn, there are chalet style huts and food vans set up with a wide selection of suppliers for hot takeaway food, sweet treats and foodie finds.

Organiser, Lauren Steeples, said: “We have local businesses set up in 12 chalets and takeaway trucks are here too.

“There is a real mix of foods and there is something for everyone. Takeaway food to take home or to enjoy on the spaced out benches.

“We also have a one-way system in place and it’s set up like a massive roundabout.

“It’s so nice to see people out and about and supporting local businesses.”

The festival will run from 11am to 7pm on today (May 1), tomorrow (May 2) and Monday (May 3), and any customers are asked to use car park four.

No pre-booking is required.

Below is a collection of pictures taken on the first day of the festival.
