A popular street food event returned in a Covid-safe, drive-thru manner this weekend after an extended break due to the pandemic.
BiteStreet pitched up once again at The County Ground on Friday night (March 12) and Saturday afternoon and evening (March 13).
Six traders were on offer to the customers, so many cuisines were covered including pizza, BBQ meat, Korean chicken, gourmet toasties and more.
Meals were ordered online prior to the event and then food was delivered to customers' cars so members of the public did not have to leave their vehicles.
This weekend's event was the first of the year after organisers decided it was not the right time to be holding the event - even though they were allowed to under Covid guidelines - as the NHS were 'in the eye of the storm'.
After a successful re-launch, the event will now return as a drive-thru on March 26 and 27 and then organisers are hoping to host an outdoor event, where alcohol can be served too on April 16 and 17, once restrictions are lifted.
