Despite opposition from ward councillors and local residents who felt ‘angry and hurt’ due to the additional traffic the coffee shop would introduce, as well as the increased traffic from the new McDonald’s close by, permission was granted in March 2019.At the time the planning permission - submitted by Morrisons - was granted, a spokesman for the supermarket said: “It's a sustainable development that will enhance the offer for shoppers and residents.”
The new Drive-Thru store will be open from 6am until 10pm, Monday – Thursday, and 6am until 1pm, Friday – Sunday, with Drive-thru only after 10pm.
