New 'dog walking' deli opens at Northampton abbey for coffee on-the-go
Tom Hewer Hospitality - the brand behind popular town centre pubs and bars including The Artisan and John Franklins - has opened a deli on the grounds of Delapre Abbey.
The deli for dogwalkers, called Common Ground, was originally an 18th century stable block and has been redesigned with dog walkers from Delapre Park in mind as the deli is designed for muddy paws with a dog treat corner with 'top quality' dog treats.

Starting at 7.30am, the deli opens every day between Tuesday and Sunday until 3.30pm, serving breakfast rolls and coffee on-the-go, with a full range of homemade cakes, pork pies, freshly baked bread from the firms bakery.
For the fitness fanatics, there are 'cleaner' options, including protein bars, and in the summer months, the idea is the deli will also lend its hand to becoming an ice cream parlour.
Chief executive, Richard Clinton, of Delapre Abbey said: "We are widening our reach to our customers and the park is such a popular place for dog walkers and exercisers.

Tom Hewer also owns Hibiscus, the AA rosette-awarded restaurant on the Delapre Abbey grounds, which is launching its new Christmas menu as the town goes into Tier Two restrictions and hospitality venues can all re-open again.
