Meet the founder who took the leap to launch private dining venture in Northamptonshire following four-month hospital stint
Meet the founder who took the leap to launch her private dining venture, after a four-month hospital stay gave her the push she needed to start something of her own.
Georgina Williams, from Towcester, is the mastermind behind Gs Private Dining and she is elated to have been shortlisted in the female entrepreneur of the year category at the UK Small Business Awards.
This recognition celebrates Georgina’s commitment to delivering high quality hospitality experiences as a private chef, and she shared her journey so far with the Chronicle & Echo.
It was June 2025 when Georgina launched Gs Private Dining. She came out of hospital and decided that the 80 hours a week she was putting into someone else’s restaurant would be better invested in something of her own.

Within a month, Gs Private Dining was off the ground and it has proved popular over the past year as Georgina has hit a niche in the market – particularly as a more affordable option for hiring someone for your home, event or supper club.
With experience at Whittlebury Hall & Spa, Escapade at Silverstone, a Raymond Blanc restaurant, and a corporate insight with the Redbull F1 team, Georgina knew she had the experience and network to make her idea a success.
The founder’s speciality is in fine dining and refinement, offering an intimate experience that can be personalised exactly how customers want it.
This includes venue takeovers, visiting people in their homes, and designing a menu exactly to a client’s taste using the highest quality ingredients from local suppliers, including butchers and bakers.
Although Georgina likes to remain within a 30-mile radius of Towcester, she does not like to say no to customers and often travels to wherever they have requested.
The quality of the food, the personalisation of the service, and the smoothness of the booking are what customers praise most about the experience with Gs Private Dining.
Georgina is proud that she is sustainable as she can be, utilising all of her food products to minimise waste, and she is flexible when it comes to each menu. Whether it is a buffet, plated meal or canapés, Georgina is willing to create whatever the client is looking for.
Having been shortlisted in the female entrepreneur of the year category at the UK Small Business Awards, Georgina said: “It’s very rewarding. Having a business is hard, especially in hospitality and as a female founder, it’s even harder to get that recognition.
“It really helps the publicity of the business. Word of mouth and visuals are what sell your services in hospitality, so this is really rewarding personally.”
Within the next six months, Georgina has her sights set on launching a live music restaurant that acts as the flagship venue for people to enjoy Gs Private Dining.
She hopes this will continue to grow her reputation of excellence, in an exciting addition to what the founder already offers with her up-and-coming business. Georgina is hopeful that the right location will arise in Towcester or further afield in Buckinghamshire.
