A town centre pub that has not yet reopened post-lockdown has been taken over by new management.

The Wedgwood, in Abington Street, will now be run by the same licensees who are in charge of the Old Market Inn in Kettering.

Refurbishment works are being completed at the pub, which has just changed hands for the third time in just over two years.

With its rooftop and three separate bar areas, the large premises has the potential to be a bustling spot in the town centre.The new bar and kitchen, which will keep its original name, is the second pub for the licensees, who provide cocktails, a full food menu and private hire spaces at their sought-after Kettering bar.

Now the new Northampton pub is expected to be similar to the Old Market Inn, which is well-known for its bottomless brunches, ‘tipsy’ afternoon teas and Instagrammable décor.

The Wedgwood will finally reopen its doors at 5pm on Friday (October 30), which will be the start of the launch weekend for the newly taken over pub.
